Unbounded was an exhibition of contemporary art exploring some of the many layers of Cornwall’s social and environmental landscapes. The exhibition took place at the Eden Project in 2019 and showcased work by fifteen artists, each working in or deeply connected to Cornwall.

Bram exhibited
A Transect for Trelowarren as part of Unbounded. The work draws a line on a map, connecting one institution to another; the Environment and Sustainability Institute at Exeter University to the Trelowarren Estate on the Lizard Peninsula, which is in the early stages of a re/wilding program.

During his summer long residency at the estate, Bram walked and talked the transect into being in collaboration with a transdisciplinary team of researchers from the ESI, comprised of ecologists, geologists, cultural geographers and environmental scientists. The structure houses a static archive of materials of these encounters and research.

The work seeks to cut through Cornwall, through the scientific method and through institutions, with the aim of contributing to an ongoing conversation around conservation and creativity.
